Further to my telegram number 1963 (1), I bring to Your Excellency’s attention the following:

The Apostolic Nuncio to Hungary telegraphed me (2):  “Cardinal Seredi wishes that the Holy See make representation to the Allied Governments to take action to prevent the Russian armies advancing in Hungary, from committing abuses and especially violence against women.”

I ask Your Excellency to inform me what can be done. (3)
